Medicine information
Uses & overview
DRIFENACIN 7.5 Tablets are a prolonged-release pharmaceutical formulation from Steris Healthcare, containing Darifenacin 7.5 mg as the active ingredient. Darifenacin belongs to a group of medicines called antimuscarinic agents. It works primarily by reducing involuntary contractions of the bladder muscle, helping the bladder store urine more effectively. Darifenacin prolonged-release tablets are prescribed for the management of symptoms associated with overactive bladder (OAB), such as a sudden and urgent need to urinate, increased urinary frequency, and urge urinary incontinence. The prolonged-release formulation is designed to release the medicine gradually. DRIFENACIN 7.5 should be taken only as prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional.
How to use
Take DRIFENACIN 7.5 Tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or break the prolonged-release tablet, as this may affect the release of the medicine. It can generally be taken with or without food. Take it at approximately the same time each day and do not change the dose without consulting your healthcare professional.
