Uses & overview
ALLOPURIC 100 Tablets are a pharmaceutical formulation from Steris Healthcare, containing Allopurinol 100 mg as the active ingredient. Allopurinol belongs to a class of medicines known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It works by reducing the body's production of uric acid. By helping maintain uric acid levels within the recommended range, Allopurinol is commonly prescribed for the long-term management and prevention of gout and hyperuricemia. It may also be prescribed for certain other conditions associated with elevated uric acid levels. ALLOPURIC 100 should be taken only according to the dosage and duration prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional. It is generally used as a long-term preventive treatment and should not be considered a medicine for immediate relief of an acute gout attack.
