Bilastine & Montelukast is a combination medicine used to help manage symptoms associated with allergic conditions, particularly allergic rhinitis. It combines Bilastine, a second-generation antihistamine that helps reduce the effects of histamine, with Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist that helps reduce the effects of leukotrienes involved in allergic inflammation. Together, these ingredients may help relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, itching, and watery eyes when prescribed for appropriate patients. Bilastine & Montelukast may be recommended by a healthcare professional based on the patient's symptoms, medical history, and treatment needs. It should be taken only in the prescribed dose and should not be used for self-treatment without medical advice. Montelukast-containing medicines may also have important mental-health-related warnings, so patients should discuss any unusual mood or behavior changes with their healthcare professional.
कैसे उपयोग करें
Take as prescribed: Use Bilastine & Montelukast only in the dose and for the duration recommended by your doctor. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without professional medical advice. Follow the timing instructions: Bilastine is generally best taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after food or fruit juice, because food and fruit juice can reduce its absorption. Follow the specific instructions provided with your prescription. Swallow with water: Take the tablet with a glass of water. Avoid taking it with grapefruit juice or other fruit juices unless your doctor or pharmacist confirms that it is appropriate. Take regularly: If your doctor has prescribed regular treatment, take the medicine at approximately the same time each day to maintain consistent treatment. Do not double a missed dose: If you forget a dose, take it when you remember unless it is nearly time for the next dose. Do not take two doses together to compensate for a missed dose. Do not use it for an acute asthma attack: Montelukast is not a rescue medicine for sudden breathing difficulty. Follow your doctor's emergency or rescue-inhaler plan if prescribed. Monitor mood or behavior changes: Montelukast has been associated with serious neuropsychiatric effects in some patients. Inform your doctor promptly about unusual dreams, sleep problems, agitation, anxiety, depression, or changes in behavior or mood. Tell your doctor about other medicines: Inform your healthcare professional about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, and supplements you use to avoid potential interactions. Follow professional advice: If allergy symptoms persist, worsen, or do not respond adequately to treatment, consult your doctor rather than increasing the dose yourself.
