Amoxycillin Clavulanic Acid is a prescription antibiotic combination containing Amoxycillin (Amoxicillin) and Clavulanic Acid. It belongs to the penicillin group of antibiotics and is used to treat various bacterial infections when prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional. Amoxycillin works by interfering with the bacterial cell wall, while Clavulanic Acid helps overcome resistance caused by certain bacterial enzymes, allowing Amoxycillin to work more effectively against susceptible bacteria.Amoxycillin Clavulanic Acid may be prescribed for bacterial infections involving the ears, nose and throat, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, and other parts of the body, depending on the susceptibility of the bacteria. It is available in different strengths and dosage forms, including tablets, dry syrups, and oral suspensions, depending on the manufacturer.
कैसे उपयोग करें
Take Amoxycillin Clavulanic Acid exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and duration depend on the type and severity of infection, your age, weight, kidney function, and medical history. Take the medicine at evenly spaced times each day to maintain an appropriate level of the antibiotic in your body. It is generally recommended to take this combination with a meal or at the start of a meal to improve tolerance and reduce the chance of stomach upset. Swallow tablets with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or alter modified-release formulations unless your doctor or pharmacist specifically advises you to do so. If using an oral suspension, shake the bottle well before every dose and measure the prescribed amount using the supplied measuring device. Complete the full course of treatment prescribed by your doctor, even if you begin feeling better. Stopping early may allow the infection to return and contribute to antibiotic resistance. If you miss a dose, take it when you remember unless it is nearly time for the next dose. Do not take two doses together to compensate for a missed dose. Do not share this antibiotic with another person or use leftover medicine from a previous infection. Tell your doctor if you have ever experienced an allergic reaction to penicillin, amoxicillin, or other antibiotics. Inform your healthcare professional about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, and supplements you currently take. Seek medical attention if you develop severe diarrhea, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, widespread rash, or other signs of a serious allergic reaction. Store the medicine according to the manufacturer's instructions and keep it out of reach of children.
