ROXARIVABEN 10 Mg
Rivaroxaban (10mg)
Rivaroxaban, sold under the brand name ROXARIVABEN 10 Mg, is an anticoagulant medication used to prevent and treat blood clots. It works by inhibiting factor Xa, an essential component in the blood clotting process. This medication is prescribed for various conditions, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. Rivaroxaban is known for its convenience as it is taken orally and does not require frequent monitoring like some other anticoagulants.
Uses
Rivaroxaban (10mg) is primarily used for:
Prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
DVT occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep vein, usually in the legs. Rivaroxaban is effective in preventing these clots, especially after surgeries such as hip or knee replacement.
Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism
For patients diagnosed with DVT or PE, Rivaroxaban helps dissolve existing clots and prevents new ones from forming.
Reducing the Risk of Stroke and Systemic Embolism in Atrial Fibrillation
Patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation have a higher risk of stroke due to irregular heartbeats. Rivaroxaban helps lower this risk by preventing clot formation.
Prevention of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE)
Rivaroxaban is used to prevent VTE in hospitalized patients who are at an increased risk due to acute medical illnesses.
Dosage
The dosage of Rivaroxaban (10mg) varies depending on the condition being treated:
