Combikit of Ticagrelor Tablets & Aspirin Gastro-resistant is a prescription combination intended to reduce the risk of certain cardiovascular events in patients who require dual antiplatelet therapy. It contains ticagrelor and gastro-resistant aspirin, which work through different mechanisms to help prevent harmful blood clot formation. Ticagrelor blocks P2Y12 receptors on platelets, reducing their ability to stick together. Aspirin inhibits platelet activity through a different pathway, providing additional antiplatelet effects. Doctors may prescribe this combination for selected patients with acute coronary syndrome or following certain coronary procedures, including stent placement. The appropriate treatment depends on the patient's diagnosis, cardiovascular risk, bleeding risk, and medical history.
कैसे उपयोग करें
Follow your prescription: Take ticagrelor and gastro-resistant aspirin according to your doctor's instructions. Do not change the dose or treatment schedule independently. Follow the recommended schedule: Ticagrelor is commonly prescribed twice daily for certain conditions, while low-dose aspirin is usually taken once daily. Your prescribed regimen may vary, so follow the instructions specific to your combikit. Take with water: Ticagrelor can generally be taken with or without food. Gastro-resistant aspirin should be swallowed whole with water unless the product leaflet provides different instructions. Do not crush or chew gastro-resistant tablets. Manage missed doses carefully: Follow the patient leaflet or ask your pharmacist what to do. Do not take extra tablets to compensate for a missed dose. Avoid unapproved additional medicines: Do not take extra aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, anticoagulants, or other antiplatelet medicines unless your doctor approves them, as bleeding risk may increase. Watch for bleeding symptoms: Seek urgent medical attention for uncontrolled bleeding, vomiting blood, black stools, or sudden severe headache. Report frequent bruising or nosebleeds to your doctor. Inform healthcare professionals before procedures: Tell your doctor and dentist that you take both medicines before surgery or dental treatment. Never stop treatment without medical guidance, especially after stent placement. Attend follow-up appointments: Your doctor will assess treatment effectiveness, side effects, and the appropriate duration of dual antiplatelet therapy.
