STERIS DURA T 0.4/5 is a combination product marketed by Steris Healthcare, containing Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Prolonged Release and Tadalafil. These medicines work through different mechanisms to help manage selected urinary symptoms and erectile dysfunction in appropriate patients. Tamsulosin Hydrochloride is an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker that relaxes the smooth muscles around the prostate and bladder neck, helping improve urine flow and relieve urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate. Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor that helps relax blood vessels and improve blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction and, in appropriate patients, may also help relieve urinary symptoms associated with BPH.
