Ergotamine Tartrate & Caffeine Tablets USP is a prescription combination medicine used to manage certain acute migraine attacks. It contains ergotamine tartrate, which acts on specific serotonin receptors and causes blood vessels to constrict, and caffeine, which supports the action of ergotamine. The medicine may help relieve migraine symptoms in appropriately selected patients when taken according to a doctor's instructions.
