Introduction
CILOSTAZONE 50 is a specialized vasodilator and antiplatelet medication containing Cilostazol 50 mg, designed to improve blood flow in peripheral arteries, especially for patients suffering from intermittent claudication—a condition marked by muscle pain in the legs due to restricted blood circulation.
Composition: Cilostazol 50 mg
Cilostazol is a phosphodiesterase III inhibitor that works through two primary mechanisms:
-
Vasodilation: It relaxes blood vessels, particularly in the legs, improving blood flow to muscles
-
Antiplatelet action: It prevents platelets from sticking together, reducing the risk of blood clots
Together, these actions help restore pain-free walking distance, enhance quality of life, and reduce the burden of peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
